Over the years, West LA Sawtelle Neighborhood Council has taken on numerous projects—some passion projects of concerned groups, some as the result of serendipitous conversations, and some through brainstorming of the Council’s committees.

Below are brief descriptions of several of these projects.

    Bundy Triangle Night Market

    The West LA Sawtelle Neighborhood Council has played an important role in supporting the Bundy Triangle Night Market, helping to transform the area into a lively community gathering space. The Council has contributed by facilitating partnerships with local organizations, promoting the events, and supporting logistics to ensure the market runs smoothly. These efforts have helped bring local food vendors, live music, workshops, and community activities to the Triangle, creating a vibrant destination that fosters neighborly connection, cultural engagement, and community pride.

    Bundy Triangle Revitalization

    The West LA Sawtelle Neighborhood Council has played a key role in transforming the Bundy Triangle into a vibrant community hub. Through initiatives such as community clean-up events, advocacy for public access, and support for pop-up markets, the Council has helped turn a previously neglected space into a welcoming destination for neighbors.

    The West LA Sawtelle Neighborhood Council has been instrumental in supporting the Summer Movies Series at Stoner Park, enhancing community engagement and providing accessible entertainment for local families. Through its Movies@Park initiative, the Council has organized free outdoor screenings of family-friendly films, such as Lilo & Stitch and A Minecraft Movie, at Stoner Park Recreation Center.

    The West LA Sawtelle Neighborhood Council has been a steadfast advocate for the Stoner Skate Plaza, a renowned street-style skatepark located at 1835 Stoner Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90025. Recognizing its significance as a community asset, the Council has actively supported initiatives aimed at enhancing the park's accessibility and safety. This includes backing efforts to improve pedestrian infrastructure around the park, ensuring that skaters and visitors can access the facility safely.
