Get Involved!
Here are four ways you can start to get involved with West LA Sawtelle Neighborhood Council.

You may comment on any agenda item during the meeting.
A general public comment period is also provided for non-agenda items within the Council’s jurisdiction.
To comment, simply raise your hand (in person or virtually) when prompted by the Chair.
-
Stakeholders may request items to be placed on a future agenda.
Send your request in writing to the appropriate Committee Chair or the Board Secretary.
Include a clear description of the issue or proposal.
Agenda requests are subject to review and must be submitted before the posted

Join a
Committee
Joining a WLASNC committee is a great way to get involved and make a difference in your community.
Participating in a committee is a meaningful way to help shape our community, contribute your expertise, and stay informed about local issues.
-
Explore the list of active committees to see which aligns with your interests, skills, and availability.
-
Reach out to the chair of the committee you’re interested in. Contact information is available on our website.
-
Most committees welcome guests at their monthly meetings. Attending allows you to learn more and see how the committee operates. Check our Calendar for the next committee meetings.
-
If you’d like to become an official committee member, submit a committee application to the committee chair. Membership is open to all stakeholders who live, work, or have a significant interest in the West LA Sawtelle area.

The City Clerk will confirm your eligibility. You may also be invited to participate in candidate forums to share your vision with the community.
