Our Board of Directors and Planning and Land Use Management [PLUM] team will visit First Day, an interim housing facility located at Pico Boulevard and Midvale Avenue, as part of our research on how various types of interim housing facilities affect both unhoused individuals and the surrounding community.

First Day is an interim housing facility for homeless support whose stated goal is: “to help people experiencing homelessness and at-risk individuals and families to transition toward self-sufficiency.” You can learn more about the First Day Interim Housing here: https://whittierfirstday.org
